Haul post! (Again)

Yip... I might have been buying stuff again. I have some glitters and nail foils from ebay to share along with a video and some pictures of my latest work!

I begin with the glitters.  I ordered them from ebay from seller Smileys6062 and was really excited to get them.  I mixed them up with clear acrylic and popped them onto a nail to see how they all came out and they look great.   I will definitely be looking for more glitters in the future from this person!   Feel free to check out my video to see them for yourself.

Next up we have some foils!  I ordered a set of 12 to come from Hong Kong and they arrived today.  I am wanting to try out a nail design I saw somewhere else and will post some pictures after I give it a try :)

College wise I did my first gel extensions with gel colour and passed :)   Here is the set of nails I did.

Later that day I did some nail art for a good client of mine who was going off on holiday.  This is the art we choose, the background polish is holographic and the design is something simple yet eyecatching.

Well thats about it!  I also bought a Glaze n Go and a NSI Balance bond primer also but they are kinda boring to photograph so I leave it there! :)

New video and some nails I've done!

Hello!
So I have been busy playing around with gel and acrylic nails recently.  I am doing my first assessment on Wednesday which is applying tips and using gel overlay and then a gel colour on top.  I#m feeling confident about it, I find gel pretty easy to work with especially since it doesn't set until you cure in the UV light!  Here is a picture of a set I did on a girl from work!
I felt these ones turned out a little thick, partly because I had used builder gel and partly due to needing a few coats of the gel to get a better coverage.

This set of gels was done at college, one hand was by me.  The black was a real pain to work with.  It was going patchy and shrinking back before you even got finished applying the coat to 4 fingers!  Safe to say I won't be picking black for my assessment colour!  :)

I had seen on Youtube people using embossing glitter and other things in glitter mixes to then be mixed up with clear acrylic to create some fantastic colours.  I went to the local art shop and picked out a couple colours to give it a try.

I was really impressed at this nail!  Not only that I managed to get the embossing powder to work, but also that my ability to make an acrylic nail has clearly improved!  Learning the finer techniques at college, combined with having bought myself a decent brush has made me more confident in using this system.  I also hope to get some guinea pigs to left me try a full set on them!

This is my first attempt at a gel french.  I could of placed the white a bit lower down, but overall was a good first try.  I was kinda bored and added the leopard print in there too!

On my nails this week I copied a design from a youtuber MyDesigns4You
It was challenging doing this on my right hand thats for sure!

Well this post turned out a bit long than I expected!  To wrap it up I will leave you with a link to my latest video!

New Video: French with Colourful Flower Nail Art Design

Hello!

Today I am sharing with you my latest video.  I am actually terribly behind in editing these.. I think I did this one maybe as much as 6 weeks ago!  *Hangs head in shame*  I keep saying maybe I'll catch up buuuuut, yeah.

This was actually a quick and simple design I came up with.  It was one of those weeks where I had a mental block on coming up with anything really exciting so you can never go wrong with an elegant frenchHere is the vid for anyone wanting to watch it:

Yesterday I also had a client over for some nail art.  She had decided on a water marble and so I had done a few swatches to get some colour ideas for her -

She went for the one on the left, liking the orange in it and this is the final product:

We decided to add a glitter over the top since she was heading off somewhere sunny and every girl loves sparkle!  It was the first water marble I had done on a client and only the third I had ever actually done ever!
