Hello everyone! I come to you today with not 1 but 3 videos! I firstly have my Halloween design. I took a while coming up with this one. I wanted to do something different and unexpected, not the typical kind of designs you see at this time of year. I hope that I succeeded! I give you Alternate Halloween Nail Art: Rat Silhouettes!
Along with doing this I also decided it was time to take off my toenail art. I was fed up looking at the glitter gel with zebra stripes so off it came. I had picked up 3 new mylar products and was dying to try them out. While doing this I thought why not make it a video? As much as I hate my feet I went and made it anyway!
What do you think? Want to see more toe nail designs? I don't change them as much as my fingers but I think it would be fun to make these videos too! So the third video came about after a little accident! I had wanted to start making some "How To" videos and just yesterday the dog managed to bend my thumb nail and it started to crack half way down :( Instead of being sad about it I turned this into an opportunity! So here is how to fix your nail using gel!
I hope you find this useful and would like to see some more "How to" vids! I also got round to joining Instagram finally! If you are on there feel free to follow me @lynsnailart. I am also on all the other usual haunts of Twitter @nailsbylyn and facebook at www.facebook.com/lynsnailart. Please feel free to come and join me and share your nail creations! I'd love to see!
Hello :) You will notice that I am a day late with my post! I have been busy with clients, college and work and just had the time today to get this all done! I have a few pictures of my work that I have done recently. First here is the set of acrylics I done for my college exam.
I should of done a better job on the middle finger as the shape is not as good as it should have been but otherwise I was happy with it. For other clients I have done a set of gel nails and a pedicure with gel nails and fingernails :)
I mixed up this glitter with some gel and then put some zebra stripes on top after giving the client a pedicure.
Then she had gel polish on her nails to finish! there was a layer of glitter added on but it was very subtle and the camera did not pick it up.
This is the set of gels done last night, she just wanted to keep them natural :)
Nail art wise I have my new video here:
Just to finish off here is a picture of my nail art done for Breast Cancer awareness :)

Yip... I might have been buying stuff again. I have some glitters and nail foils from ebay to share along with a video and some pictures of my latest work!
I begin with the glitters. I ordered them from ebay from seller Smileys6062 and was really excited to get them. I mixed them up with clear acrylic and popped them onto a nail to see how they all came out and they look great. I will definitely be looking for more glitters in the future from this person! Feel free to check out my video to see them for yourself.
Next up we have some foils! I ordered a set of 12 to come from Hong Kong and they arrived today. I am wanting to try out a nail design I saw somewhere else and will post some pictures after I give it a try :)
College wise I did my first gel extensions with gel colour and passed :) Here is the set of nails I did.
Later that day I did some nail art for a good client of mine who was going off on holiday. This is the art we choose, the background polish is holographic and the design is something simple yet eyecatching.
Well thats about it! I also bought a Glaze n Go and a NSI Balance bond primer also but they are kinda boring to photograph so I leave it there! :)

Hello! So I have been busy playing around with gel and acrylic nails recently. I am doing my first assessment on Wednesday which is applying tips and using gel overlay and then a gel colour on top. I#m feeling confident about it, I find gel pretty easy to work with especially since it doesn't set until you cure in the UV light! Here is a picture of a set I did on a girl from work!
I felt these ones turned out a little thick, partly because I had used builder gel and partly due to needing a few coats of the gel to get a better coverage.
This set of gels was done at college, one hand was by me. The black was a real pain to work with. It was going patchy and shrinking back before you even got finished applying the coat to 4 fingers! Safe to say I won't be picking black for my assessment colour! :)
I had seen on Youtube people using embossing glitter and other things in glitter mixes to then be mixed up with clear acrylic to create some fantastic colours. I went to the local art shop and picked out a couple colours to give it a try.
I was really impressed at this nail! Not only that I managed to get the embossing powder to work, but also that my ability to make an acrylic nail has clearly improved! Learning the finer techniques at college, combined with having bought myself a decent brush has made me more confident in using this system. I also hope to get some guinea pigs to left me try a full set on them!
This is my first attempt at a gel french. I could of placed the white a bit lower down, but overall was a good first try. I was kinda bored and added the leopard print in there too! On my nails this week I copied a design from a youtuber MyDesigns4You
It was challenging doing this on my right hand thats for sure!
Well this post turned out a bit long than I expected! To wrap it up I will leave you with a link to my latest video!

It is a really easy design to do and if you wanna give it a try, check out my video! I'd love if you tried it out for yourself, you can do any colour you like.
I have had a few people over for nail art and fibreglass extensions lately but silly me forgot to take pictures to share! Silly me :( Until next time! <3
